Multiple surveillance cameras filmed the attack from various angles. The victim, who appeared to be wearing her Sunday best, was withdrawing cash from the outdoor bank machine at 5119 Frankford Ave. at about 10:20 a.m. when the crook approached her from behind and stood there as if waiting in line.

When the victim got her cash from the machine, the robber reached around her and grabbed it from her hands. In doing so, the crook injured the victim’s shoulder, police said. The woman was treated at Aria Health-Frankford.

The mugger fled in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was described as black, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 180 pounds. He wore a white T-shirt and black shorts with “NIKE” printed on the right thigh. Visit the Philadelphia Police channel on YouTube.com to see the surveillance video.
